Dadaism

3rd grade students have finished their Emotions in Art unit and created some wonderfully thoughtful abstract artworks! We explored how colors can represent different emotions across cultures and then learned about Dadaism, an art movement that started during World War II in the UK and the U.S. Dada artists liked to break the rules and make art in surprising, funny, and creative ways! They believed art didn’t always have to be serious. It could be weird, playful, and full of imagination!
