From Clay to Creativity: Art Club’s Journey to the MIA

This project was such a fun and rewarding experience! Our art club students worked hard to create beautiful handmade pottery — including ceramic earrings, mugs, and bowls — to sell at a local craft fair. I was so proud of how they organized themselves, collaborated, and dedicated time after school to make this fundraiser a success. The money raised helped fund an out-of-state field trip for New Auburn students to visit the Minneapolis Institute of Art, where they were able to see and be inspired by the work of famous artists. Watching their creativity, teamwork, and excitement grow throughout the project was truly inspiring.
