Gyotaku Fish Printing

Our 5th grade students explored Gyotaku, the traditional Japanese art of fish printing! We began by learning about the history of this unique practice and its roots in Japanese culture. Then, students got hands-on, using real fish to create their own prints on paper. It may have been a little stinky, but the results were absolutely worth it!
